Events WM is one of many departmental trading style platforms which we’re working on expanding within the Connect WM business model.

Events WM simply means 'Events West Midlands' and it offers a way for regionalised West Midlands based businesses to identify centrally which events are taking place throughout the region which encompasses the six counties and the seven metropolitan boroughs. Having something central and non-biased which allows local businesses to connect to local events is what the West Midlands region needs. 

How does it work?

Our whole ethos is about being able to “Connect local businesses and consumers together in one place”, and being able to connect them to events in the region is no exception.

We provide a facility for businesses to place their events on the Connect WM site either for FREE or at a cost – but as with anything you get what you pay for.

A FREE event listing awards you the most basic of details, a paid event listing awards descriptive text which comes in useful for search engine optimisation, and how its viewed within the site as it receives better recognition and better placement within the site.

Events WM email notifications

Regular emails are sent out which detail the very latest events which have been added to the Connect WM site, this also means that paid event listing will rank higher in order within the email than FREE event listings.

We are proactive and our belief is that we cannot sit back and expect people to just come across Events WM; they need to be told about events in the West Midlands time and time again until the message hits home – hence our regular event email notifications.

Events WM the Department

We’re working towards building an Events WM team who would in turn facilitate the organisation of event management on behalf of other companies, as well as organising our own regular county and borough wide exhibitions such as ‘Connect Birmingham’ ‘Connect Warwickshire’..........

One last thing, is that we do offer businesses the opportunity to sign up for a showcase business listing for which they’ll be able to upload as many of their own events for free over their membership term...!

What about events in the region held by companies not based in the region?

We do not allow businesses from outside the West Midlands to be present on the Connect WM site, however from time to time we accept that some companies from outside the area will wish to hold events in the West Midlands, to help accommodate this we will place such events on the site but depending on the type of events they would be placed under any one of our departmental trading style platforms such as ‘Training WM’ ‘Supply WM'.....as opposed to displaying the outside company details.
