Deals WM is an area within our Connect WM site which allows both local and none local businesses and consumers to connect to deals offered by businesses throughout the West Midlands region.

Deals WM refers to 'Deals West Midlands' and it offers a way for regionalised West Midlands based businesses to promote centrally - any deals, offers, or discounts which they may wish to promote in order to increase sales and / or brand awareness of themselves, their products and their services.

How does it work?

The facility for any deals to be entered with the Deals WM section is encompassed within the showcase listing membership only. As part of the showcase membership the member is able to promote as many deals as they wish throughout their membership term on the understanding that only one deal will be displayed at any given time.

Deals WM works along the line of ‘groupon’ but without the individual commission costs, with us you purchase a showcase listing membership and the deals facility comes FREE as part of the membership.

When a deal is created the showcase member is able to enter in full details including any specific terms and conditions, along with the normal selling cost and the promotional deal sale cost - our system will work out the percentage discount which is being offered as part of the deal.

The member is also able to enter in how many deals of a particular offer they wish to be available.

All deals can be claimed via Facebook accounts, which further help to create awareness of the deal in question, members are also able to link in their twitter account which allows tweets to be made when deals are claimed. Once the deal is claimed our system will generate a unique code which is advised to the claimant as well as being stored in the showcase member account.

When it’s time for the claimant to make contact with the member business to claim the deal they advise the member of the unique code, which they then manage (mark as claimed) within their member account and undertake the transaction in their normal way.

At no time does or will Connect WM take or any handle money in regards to member’s deals.

For a showcase member to manage their deals correctly, it’s strongly advisable that if they have different deals that separate deals are created rather than overwriting different details on the same deal offer.

Example being: The first week deal offer is 30% off and some deals are claimed and unique codes generated, second week offer is 50% and for ease the percentage is changed on last week’s offer and then more deals are claimed and codes generated. When the claimants claim the deal and provides their unique code there would be no way for the member business to know whether the code relates to 30% off or 50% off.

Remember a different deal offer needs its own deal generated.

Regular automatic “Deals WM” emails are sent out which contain the latest deals which have been added to the site by local businesses – as a way not only to promote the “Deals WM” brand, but also to help connect the individual member business deal to potential customers / clients.
