Business Advice WM is a section within the Connect WM site which aims to become a private enterprise to gain long term longevity as a centralise reference for business start-ups as well as existing businesses based within the West Midlands region.

Our Business Advice West Midlands section is looking to build a firm and accessible base from which businesses based within the West Midlands region can identify as well as access suitable business support and / or consultancy which will assist in the operational enhancement of their business.

There are many businesses and self employed consultants within the region who specialise in providing business help and support, and we wish to be able to connect local businesses to them as well as connect them to local businesses.

Business Advice WM will provide a suitable platform to invoke via effective local exposure the awareness of business advice throughout the region.

So why Business Advice WM now?

As with everything in business things happen some of which are planned for and others which we don’t see coming.

Dramatic changes have taken place over recent time not only in the West Midlands region but throughout the whole United Kingdom.

Such changes result in the questions being asked, such as - what future help will be available to local business with the current abolishment of some local quangos and the nationalisation.

Things happen at a quick pace and not always within the public sector is a firm concrete solution in place before the cessation and in particular the expiry of business help bodies, a majority of which are still in negotiations with themselves (LEP’s) to see exactly what it is they stand for as well as what they should be doing to help local business.

Looking long term much of this will be is instigated by the government at the time, it’s not inconceivable to think that what replacement solutions are put in place now, could well be changed again at a later date or as and when governments change.

So we see our Business Advice WM section providing a suitable private enterprise alterative to what was and may be put into place as a public sector alterative.
